I lie in anticipation knowing that the best day of the year finally came….
But my emotions are still… Well kinda mixed up….
Semester exam is just a few day away… So should I enjoy my day or not…
So it was decided, I’m gonna throw everything else aside and enjoy whatever comes at me today....
Closing my eyes once again, I decided to start the day anew…
With new determinations…
I got up, bathe, dressed up and then off I was to college…. Oh, and I just my new hairstyle the day before so was kinda mixing it too “wildly” I guess…. 
Off I was onto the daily morning ritual of having breakfast at this Chinese hawker stall with two of my best friends Kai Yun and Chung Yang near the Wangsa Maju LRT station… 
But today was kinda different, little had I know someone prepared a little surprise for me… Kai Yun bought a little egg tart as a cake replacement for me… She went off to find some candles but apparently they are either too big or too long… So I had to modify this chopstick splint into a candle…. was kinda funny because it wouldn’t light up as normal as candles do… you see… So we did a little morning birthday ritual right at the stall….
After taking some picture, off we were to college…Wishes were flying in from my course mates… So the day went on as usual till Pure Maths class…. Deng Deng… The fun starts now….
On the ring of Jonan’s Mario ring-tone, the class burst into a birthday orchestra…. Then I realised there was another girl with the same date of birth as mine… She was MEI SHIN…. So, right after the surprise song from my course mates…. Jonan proceeded with his surprise for Mei Shin and I… He demanded me to finish of 3 packets of bread and 2 bottle of coke he bought…. And I was stunned immediately…. 3 packets of bread ?? I can’t even finish 2, let alone 3 with 2 bottle of coke….. Miss Chin was giving out mamee monster snacks for the entire class for a treat at the moment… Then, she made a declaration that the entire class cannot leave until I finish all the food… So, after much persuasion, Jonan allowed me to pick a friend to finish the surprise together…. Names ran over my head, and then I chose Tan Hor (the class tiger)…. Luckily he did not object, so he came down and helped me… Thank god….
Then Jonan proceeded with his second surprise… In front of the entire class, he went on his knees and “propose” to mei shin with a bouquet of LOLIPOPS… The whole class burst into laughter… Mei Shin gladly accepted the lollipops…
So Tan Hor and I were eating and Jonan decided to have the birthday duo to give speech… So i easily gave mine with simple thanks to my all my course mates for the surprise…. Mei Shin on the other hand was hesitant… After countless tries by a few of my mates, Tan Hor decide that I, as the birthday boy should invite the birthday princess out…. So, what can go wrong… I took the mic and gave it a try…
“Mei Shin, would you please come in front to give a speech…” was all I said and she accepted the invitation… Immediately “ooh…” and”aah..” can be heard….
Tan Hor guided her on a little speech as a joke for the last birthday surprise in class… It was something like “… and this is my first time celebrating my birthday in college/school…” Soon the class was over and we thanked Miss Chin for being sporting…. although she did not sing when we requested her to…. So the rest of college hours went smoothly….
After class was over, Suh Kuan, Chris, Kai Qing and I went to Times Square for a further celebration…. It was touching since we all had exam the following week and they were still willing to go out…. So in Chris car and off we went…. We reached there in time for a movie… HSM 3… So he hit the theater first…. After the show, we were hungry and decided to dine at GASOLINE….. Never tried the cafe before so why not i guess…. And yeah, today was my lucky day…. Suh Kuan will be treating me lunch…. Yippee…. Its a rare occasion indeed….
So I ordered a Cordon Blue and shared a mug of watermelon juice with Suh Kuan… She ordereda plate of fried rice, Kai Qing - a bowl of noodles and Chris - fried udon mee… Man does the food taste good…. Or at least to me… Maybe its because I’m starving ??
Hehe… So after eating, we took pictures at the cafe… The atmosphere setting was kinda cool…. dark and creepy… Not to mention it was my first time dining while siting on the ground… Japanese style….
Then we manage to persuade Suh Kuan to pole dance a little… It was kinda funny and I managed to take a picture… But I think she deleted it…. And somehow, I did “it” too…. LOlz… So after the meal, it was kinda getting late so we went home….
At home only I realised we were going out for dinner… Which I was not expecting since Mother told me we were dining at home…. So I guess I better not tell them I’m full… Since they had to wait for half an hour…. traffic jam.. You now the usual stuff…. So we went to nearby Western restaurant…. I ordered a Sizzling Lamb with Tiger Prawns and finished it luckily before my stomach burst…. On the way home, mother ordered a couple of large pizzas and called over my younger cousins for a little celebration…. She bought a delicious durian cake for me…
So after the celebration and some photo taking, the mini-party ended and everyone was off to bed…. Lying on my bed I enjoyed the few hours of the day left recalling all the things happened… And a smile was on my face…. I am lucky to have such friends and family….
